This role is a really hands on operational finance role, giving good exposure to day to day transactional accounting as well as working alongside a thoroughly experienced Management Accounting Team, participating in Month End & Management Accounts.

The role is perfect for anyone studying ATI / ACCA / CIMA and will allow you the opportunity to gain great technical accounting skills in a very fast paced commercial setting.

Overview of the role:
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for posting and maintaining the day to day transactions within the business. Through strong processes and timely reconciliations, the role will ensure that risk is minimised regarding the sales and receivables cycle. The Accounts Assistant will also provide support to the Management Accountant in the delivery of consistent, timely and accurate period end financial statements.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Posting of weekly reports, including weekly sales information and weekly labour dashboards
- Ownership of the accounts receivable reconciliation process
- Ownership of utilities costs, including the preparation of information for grants and subsidies
- Assistance in the successful delivery of period end reporting and the year end external audit
- Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
- Support the Management Accountant in maintaining good accounting records.
- Support wider Finance team in day to day activities.
- Complete any additional tasks from senior management.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years previous experience in a similar role
- Experience on NAV (desirable)

**Technical Competencies**
- Demonstrable, excellent understanding of basic bookkeeping
- Confidence in data entry and taking ownership of accounting processes
- Strong discipline and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail, with proven ability to efficiently handle large data sets
- Computer literacy is expected, with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel essential.
