**About The Role**: Team Leader Opportunity
Do you recognise adolescence as a difficult time? Do you have empathy for young people who struggle to navigate the changes? Do you have the creativity, innovation, and drive to lead impactful interventions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you
We are looking for a **Team Leader** to cover **Redruth and Carn Brea Foyer** - which are supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. You will support our team manager to work collaboratively with young people, colleagues and external organisations to enhance and promote the life experiences and independent skills of young people. You may provide key worker support for some young people through advocacy and 1-2-1 support.
We take a strength-based approach, called **Advantaged Thinking**, in all the work we do; encouraging young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big and fulfil their ambitions.
You will be able to motivate colleagues to be their best; to meet targets and standards; to go the extra mile for young people. We are looking for someone who really cares about the Service, about young people, and who understands the impact of trauma, and how to respond to contextual harm. You will support our practitioners to be resilient and persistent; be solution-focussed; look past challenging behaviours; build positive relationships with young people and those that work with them, and to inspire young people to reach their potential.
You will support the team manager to deliver a highly effective and impactful team; delivering high quality services for young people in need of supported accommodation and support services.
Every day is different; you could be delivering colleague supervision, reviewing a risk assessment, supporting a young person, contributing to a multi-agency meeting or supporting group activities as part of the learning programme.
We want you to be able to bring your own personality. Our young people come from a wide range of backgrounds and we try to mirror that in our staff team.
This role is being offered on a **full-time, permanent basis**, working **37 hours per week** on a rolling rota, to include bank holidays and will work one weekend in four. Bandwidth hours will be 8 am to 10 pm. You will have a flexible approach to hours as team members will work shifts including nights and weekends.
- Experience in providing supervision to others.
- Experience of working effectively with young people with diverse strengths, needs and aspirations and an awareness of needs and risk assessments.
- Good leadership skills and a proven track record for delivering good outcomes for individuals.
- An ability to make good quality judgements and sound decisions in situations of increasing complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- An ability to build sound, productive working relationships with customers, colleagues and partners.
- An ability to maintain records and write high quality written reports which are suitable for a variety of professional settings.
- Innovative and creative in your ways of working.
- Resilient and flexible in dealing with others.
- An ability to reflect on your own practice.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
The most important part of this role is to have pride in your work and have a positive attitude, a proactive approach and the confidence to support a diverse range of young people. You will be able to balance your passion and commitment with good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
**Please note, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role; therefore, applicants must have the right to work in the UK.**
