Information Security Engineer / Information Security SME (Subject Matter Expert) required by global law firm. You will act as the Technical Subject Matter Expert working between the Information Security Team and the IT Teams, specifically Networks and CloudServer Infrastructure.
The work will require you to design security infrastructure and permitter defences in line with current GRC guidelines relating primarily to NIST, CSA and HIPAA. You will undertake low level designs for both Palo Alto Firewalls as well as Azure and AWS cloudenvironments. You will then act as the technical advisor to the IT Teams responsible for delivering your solutions into production. Once in production, you will then implement and operate security systems including IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection and Preventiontools), WAF (Web Application Firewalls), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), Automation and Orchestration and Encryption solutions.
As the Information Security Engineer / Information Security SME you will be a technically minded Network Security specialist but have a strong grasp of InfoSec policy and procedure with an appreciation for GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) in its relationto NIST and HIPAA as a minimum. You will have a thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols and ideally an understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model and be able to discuss these concepts with bothtechnical and non-technical personnel alike.
We are searching for an Information Security Engineer / Information Security SME / Network Security Engineer / Information Security Architect who has worked within a global environment in a similar role. You will possess solid GRC knowledge and hands-on practicalexperience with low level network security design. This experience will include hand-on security engineering experience with Palo Alto and Cloud (AWS/Azure) environments. You will hold a CISM/CISSP certification and demonstrate a mix of technical and businessstakeholder engagement abilities. Excellent communication skills are pre-requisite.
You may have been working within a Law Firm, legal services environment, consultancy or accountancy practice (Big 4), or similarly within a technical consultancy environment where you will have worked as the bridge between Information Security and IT Teams.
