Sports Trader

An exciting and rare opportunity has come available for someone to become part of our racing team at Kambi as a Horse Racing Trader.

We are looking for:

- Someone who is passionate about horse racing and analysing races. Ideally an expert on the form or at least a student of it.
- A person who appreciates the need for constant improvement in a fast-moving industry. Nobody ever knows it all here.
- An individual who thrives when put into a pressured environment.

The successful applicant will be joining an established team who work to the highest standards. It's essential you can process a large volume of information and work accurately. The role will be varied, challenging and expectations will be high. In return, you get to work within a team of likeminded horse racing fanatics.

The team possesses a strong collectiveness and openness. You will be expected to fit into that structure and will be given a voice to help shape it.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Compile and trade UK, Irish and South African horse racing.
- Compile and trade any other international racing offered.
- Assist with the provision of an ante post and horse racing specials service.
- Manage risk on horse racing.
- Profile horse racing customers and manage client base.
- Advise client regarding opportunities to promote horse racing.
- Communicate with different departments/offices.
- Help to manage the greyhound offering.

**Requirements**:

- Passionate about horse racing.
- Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to think critically and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work accurately with exceptional attention to detail.
- Work well within a team structure and possess the confidence to contribute towards its goals.
- Strong numerical ability regarding probability and risk distribution.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Available to work evenings and most weekends, particularly Saturday, to support the racing calendar.
- Fluency in English; written and spoken.
- Accomplished Microsoft Office skills.

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working in the gambling industry.
- A university degree, preferably in an analytical field that demonstrates the ability to think critically.
- An interest in horse racing worldwide, particularly the US.
