You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen. The role includes good organisation, compliance with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards, cooking and preparation of a healthy, balanced diet for children aged 0 to 5 years, taking into consideration special dietary requirements and preparing suitable alternatives. Essential skills include time management, ability to prioritise tasks, work as part of a team and showing initiative.

You will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen and equipment is kept suitably clean at all times including walls, floors, trolleys to transport food, all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are washed on a daily basis in accordance with food safety guidelines.

Experience working in a nursery/school and suitable qualifications would be desirable.

The position is Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30; salary £25,500 - 27,500 p.a. depending on qualification and experience.
