**Job title: Management Accountant**

**Location: Warwick**

**Duration: 12 months**

**The Role**:
The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive financial advice and support alongside documenting and understanding the end-to-end process for Revenue. As appropriate will have responsibilities for financial control with a particular emphasis on timely,accurate and complete reporting as well as business planning and forecasting. This includes monthly financial reporting and inputs to the month-end accounting process.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Actively support the Revenue Accounting Manager to deliver an end to end view of the revenue process, ensuring the process is accurately documented and appropriate recommendations are made as necessary.
- Assist the month end process, ensuring the data used is consistent and accurate, the appropriateness of all inputs and outputs, and the completeness, consistency and accuracy of all data. Ensure accounting entries are appropriately classified in accordancewith internal policy, accounting standards, nature of expenditure or form of control.
- Compile and produce financial performance reports. Ensure reporting is relevant, timely and accurate. Provide insightful commentary to adequately explain any data variances.
- Provide financial analysis and evaluation, including supporting the building of robust budgets and forecasts. Deal with complex and non-standard ad-hoc requests in order to support the achievement of the business unit's objectives.
- Support Revenue Accounting Manager in establishing, maintaining and monitoring the financial control framework, ensuring compliance with all controls including those required for SOx.
- Support relevant business stakeholders in understanding and quantifying the financial risks and opportunities relating to regulated revenue for their respective areas.
- Build own knowledge of regulatory framework and its impact on the industry and the business in order to support key decisions and advise and guide relevant stakeholders in own business area.

**Requirements**:

- Financial and reporting standards knowledge,
- Experience working in a business facing role for a large organisations
- Strong excel skills.
- Experience within a regulated business and knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting and reporting
- Stakeholder management experience
