**Job Title: Casual Event Staff**

**Place of Work**:The University of York Student Centre, James College, Newton Way, York

**Contract**:Fixed Term November 2025 - September 2026

**Hours of Work**:0 hours contract, providing the flexibility to work around your studies.

**Salary**:£12.60 per hour

Closing date: Friday 26th September 2025 - 5pm

Interviews will be held in person at the Student Centre

**About the Role**:
The position is an exciting new opportunity to join the Student Activities and Communications Directorate at York SU. The primary role will be to support the on-the-day delivery of the York SU Open Day Information stall and talks, promoting our activities, services and venues to prospective students. The position also provides an opportunity to support the delivery of a selection of other York SU events across the year.

As a representative of York SU you would be responsible for creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for attendees at every event, as well as assisting with all logístical aspects, including event setup, on-the-day operations and pack down. The role will require you to act as a visible and approachable ambassador for York SU, reflecting our values and embodying the positive spirit of the organisation.

This role is ideal for a student who wants to make a direct impact on the student experience, develop valuable skills in events and customer service.
