Team Lead, Nutrition and Dietetics

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, suitably qualified, confident and forward-thinking Dietitian to manage and lead the acute Nutrition and Dietetic service at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust based in Grimsby.
You will manage and lead a team of registered Dietitians and Assistants, supported by admin staff co-located with the team.
You must be able to provide clinical leadership and motivation to develop existing team members whilst maintaining high professional standards, demonstrating a commitment to staff development and patient care. Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of Dietetics within an acute setting, including training/ competencies in Parenteral Nutrition is essential. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, have strong leadership and staff development skills as well as a proven track record in change management. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential.
You must hold current HCPC registration and be a practicing dietitian with significant B6 or equivalent experience within an acute setting.
- Develop and lead on the provision of an efficient and effective Nutrition & Dietetic service to agreed service area.
- Attend MDT meetings in the community or on both main hospital sites as required.
- Practice autonomously, demonstrating expert problem solving and clinical decision-making skills while demonstrating professional accountability and responsibility.
- Be a role model for the wider team by promoting a positive research culture.
- Identify, promote and embed evidence and identify impact measures using findings to enhance future activity.
- Identify and support the achievement of learning needs of individuals/team in response to service need and personal development planning.
- Identify priorities for evidence-based audit and research projects are undertaken within the service to ensure continuous quality improvement in the service.
- Propose practice and policy changes which impact on the wider service and implement changes in own area.
- Act as a change agent.
- Provide leadership for quality improvement and service development to enhance people's wellbeing and experiences of healthcare.
