You MUST have the following:
- Advanced experience as a Python Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Good ability with AWS- such as Lambda, S3, EC2 etc
- Proficiency in design and architecture of complex, data-centric systems
- NumPy, SciPy, Pandas
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- AWS Athena and Glue
- Apache Ignite and Apache Airflow
- An understanding of front-office trading environments
- across FX, equities, fixed income or commodities
- Understanding of fixed income products (bonds, treasuries, corporate debt, lending, credit, rates) including durations and pricings
Role: Python Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Python Developer AWS Amazon Web Services Lambda Glue Athena Fixed Income Data NumPy SciPy Pandas Trading Equities Commodities FX Agile Apache Ignite Airflow Derivatives Bonds Credit Rates Asset ManagerInvestment Management Buy Side Hedge Fund) required by our asset management client in London. You will join five other developers in London and New York who are responsible for the ingestion and distribution of data from internal and external sources to fixedincome technology. External sources include Bloomberg PORT and internal sources include reference data, research and data analytics, risk and trade execution. This team maintains, extends and improves the facility and, over the next 12 months, will be particularlyfocussing on creating an analytics layer that allows all parties access to the data and the creation of an API and service layer.
You will also come from a background that includes a good understanding of trading, such as derivative products, risk, analytics or trade execution. Fixed income would also be beneficial.
The working from home model is hybrid. You will need to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
There is also the opportunity to become the lead engineer for this team at a later point.
**Salary**: £110- 150k + 20% Bonus + 10% Pension
