**What is the role?**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. This role typically reports into the Finance Manager.

This will be a varied role, which will require the role holder to carry out cashier duties along with varied finance tasks.

**The role will include**:

- Maintain the cashbook and produce a weekly cash report
- Weekly cheque run for customer payments, expenses etc
- Prepare a monthly trading account
- Monthly reports eg Bank Reconciliations, PAYE
- Monthly VAT return inc. completing required VAT actions
- Maintain the Sales Ledger
- Petty Cash
- Produce P46 and P11D Reports
- Run Purchase Ledger payment runs
- Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager

**What we need from you?**
- Experience in a similar accounting role
- A relevant accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial
- Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
- Must be organised, diligent and able to work under pressure
