**A look into the role**
- This Marketing Assistant role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the success of Henderson Retail’s (HRL) company-owned store network. Supporting the HRL Store Development Programme, the role plays a key part in launching new and refurbished stores. You’ll coordinate the design and ordering of point-of-sale materials, assist in producing promotional leaflets, support public relations and experiential marketing events, and contribute to multi-channel social media activity to ensure engaging and timely campaigns.
- You’ll be actively involved in store marketing activity across the 112-store estate, helping to develop and evaluate tailored marketing plans that boost footfall, drive sales, and enhance customer experience. This includes close collaboration with area and regional teams to ensure local relevance and commercial impact. A core part of the role involves social media content creation, working alongside store teams to develop compelling, brand-aligned content that captures shopper interest. You’ll liaise with the digital team to ensure consistent messaging across all social platforms, supporting broader brand goals.
- Finally, you’ll track campaign spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies.
- This varied and hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, creativity, and a passion for retail marketing, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

**Skills for Success**

Joining us as a Marketing Assistant the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

- 3rd Level qualification in marketing
- At least 6 months marketing experience, which must include social media marketing
- Experience of content creationDemonstrable understanding of the FMCG retail environment.
- A full valid UK/EU Driving Licence and access to your own transport.

- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with a solid understanding of the FMCG retail environment.
- Passionate about marketing, with a keen interest in brand development and customer engagement strategies.

- Resilient and confident in managing challenges or objections, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Fast learner, self-driven, and effective in collaborating across diverse teams.
- It is desirable if you have:

- Knowledge of the NI food market

**This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.**We are an equal opportunities employer.
