**Production Operative**

**Reports to**:Production Supervisor

**Location**:Workshop (Teesside)

**Responsible for**:Manufacture and Assembly in accordance with the company

quality and engineering standards.

**Purpose**:
To achieve the business objectives to manufacture quality products, on time and to

budget.

Our client is looking for someone who wants to work and has the right attitude, can use general had tools (drills, spanners, grinders etc..)

The person will be assembling and grinding products manufactured from SST, Aluminium, Carbon Steel and Fibreglass. Welding knowledge would be an advantage but we are not looking for a coded welder and is not essential.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Produce quality mechanical products from manufacturing/fabrication packages in

accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure manufacturing is on schedule and in accordance with the company quality

and engineering standards.
- To develop open and constructive working relationships with all colleagues.
- Work safely at all times and in accordance with the company standard

OHSAS18001:2007

**Skills and Knowledge Required**:

- Mechanical engineering and/or manufacturing experience.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes.
- Ability to weld is advantageous but not essential.
- Good organisational ability.
- Communication skills.
- Persistence and ability to achieve results under pressure.
- Quality focused.
- Being flexible and honest..

**Working Conditions**:

- Worksop environment
- Required to exceed normal working hours and be flexible.

**Systems and Equipment Used**:

- Various hand held power tools.
- Hand tools.
- Workshop machinery, Lathe, Pillar drill, Band saw, bench grinder, hydraulic press

etc.

**Performance Standards**:

- As per your appraisal targets.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

- Stockton-on-Tees, Durham: Relocate before starting work (required)
