Finance Manager

As Finance Manager, you will be expected to deliver a comprehensive finance and administrative service. You will work closely with the Directors, Sales, and Supply Chain team.
*Completion of records of incoming and outgoing funds, posting receipts to sales ledger on Access accounts - sending out monthly statements - allocation of payments.
*Managing a range of related tasks, including credit control various administration - processing roles and dealing with ad-hock issues that arise daily.
*Company bank reconciliation, cash flow forecast and management.
*Producing month end reports for purchase and sales ledger.
*Profit and cost analysis - margin integrity analysis and resolution.
*Reconcile bank statements.
*Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees including year ends, P11d's YE tax on payroll system - P60's etc (initially this will be carried out by an external 3rd party).
*Pay PAYE, Class 1a NI, VAT.
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns for trading company and pension company.
*Working knowledge of QuickBooks for our HK business and preparation of accounts includes transfers to the HK bank account to pay China suppliers.
*Manage cash and calculate daily availability to issue cash for creditor payments.
*Liaise as required with representatives from external organisations HMRC, bank and invoice discounting, debt insurance, auditors, and insurance company.
*Year end Audit - liaise with auditors to provide required schedules.
*Stock reconciliation.
*Liaising successfully at all levels of the business; volunteering ideas and contributing to the success of the team in general.
Skills and qualities required:
*The successful individual will be qualified CIMA, ACCA or AAT (or qualified by experience) and have developed experience working within either a stand-alone finance role or part of a larger finance team.
*Excellent understanding of Access accounts or other similar financial management systems and be proficient with Excel.
*Good organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple company accounts and an excellent attention to detail.
