Job Introduction
Join us as a** Band 4 Podiatry Assistant** You will be covering Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Burscough and Tarleton. We offer **flexible hours**, along with the chance for hybrid working - working between the community and remote at home to complete administrative duties.
You will be assisting the Podiatry team in their clinical and administrative duties and contribute to the safe and smooth running the Podiatry Service.
You will be based at Bickerstaffe House, Ormskirk, working Monday-Friday between 8:30 and 4:30pm.
Main Responsibilities
As a Podiatry Assistant you will;
- assist the Podiatrists by preparing/maintaining the clinical area, equipment and stock levels.
- carry out toenail cutting, filing, nail drilling and simple wound care dressings following an individual care plan and with support from the Podiatrists.
- take responsibility for own delegated clinical caseload of patients.
- undertake treatment/intervention as required or as directed by an HCPC registered Podiatrist.

You will have a **NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.** Along with experience of working as a Podiatry or Health Care assistant.
We are looking for someone who has a flexible and adaptive approach to duties, with a general understanding of clinical conditions relevant to Podiatry.
As you will be expected to visit patients in the community
- a driving license and access to a car is an essential requirement for this post
