Sales and Legal Assistant

To assist with sales enquiries before contract, liaising with solicitors, ensuring collection of fees
- To assist with the transfer of shares and the issue of share certificates following the sale of a property
- To assist with the appointment & resignation of director at companies house
- To assist with filing of confirmation statements to companies house
- To assist with and advise on and manage FTT Applications
- Liaise with Owners, then Directors of RMC’s and then Solicitors regarding lease breaches
- Liaise with Solicitors regarding stat compliance and provision of information
- Liaise with Solicitors regarding RTM’s, enfranchisement, lease extensions, forfeiture, removal of tenants.
- Arrange and conduct consultation meetings with solicitors and clients
- Investigate and interpret outcomes from FTT and small court claims
- Field enquiries regarding GDPR, Landlord and Tenant Act, Companies Act and lease queries and source response
- To source and respond to lease queries that are not showing in the lease summary.
- Ensure all case notes are up to date and accurate in preparation for meetings.
- To obtain information from the Land Registry in order to take action to recover outstanding monies/Breach of leases. Also to investigate site plans and deeds with the Land Registry.
- To file all relevant paperwork using the correct procedure ensuring the smooth running of the legal proceedings.
- To enter all charges made in the course of debt collection/Legal action are added onto the database, ensuring these are reclaimed when accounts are settled
**Sales & Legal Assistant Person Specification**
- A good general education, A-C grades in Maths and English or equivalent is necessary.
- Legal qualification would be an advantage, may suit a legal graduate.
- Willing to work towards the IRPM foundation qualification after 12 months service.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in working in a legal department or a legal qualification is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Office Packages is essential and Qube software would be an advantage.
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
