**Position**: Quantity Surveyor **Location**: Wigan **Salary**: £45-50k + Package **The Company**: Our client is a well-established contractor that has over 25 years' experience in delivering Renewables, Mechanical & Electrical and Plumbing & Heating. Due to expansion in their Electrical division, our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join theirteam on a permanent basis. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to progress into a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor position as the role and division continue to expand. **The Role** As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing & supporting the commercial team on the successful delivery of each project. Reporting into the Senior QS or Commercial manager to deliver projects in time and within budget. **Duties**: - " Sub-contract procurement and commercial management - " Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts - " Liaising with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities - " Manage the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting - " Measure progress, assist in submitting valuations, final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner - " Process subcontractor requests for payment and issue of notices - " Monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the designated projects - " Attend project and company related meetings - " Manage the costs on a project to ensure both the company and the client is fully advised of the cost situation - " Ensure timely cash flow management for the Client and the group, and the supply change **What you'll need to succeed** - " M&E experience is essential (strong Social Housing experience will also be considered) If you are interested in this position and would like to apply, please contact Dan on the details provided.
