The successful applicant will support the qualified staff to provide the highest standard of care to acutely unwell, adult patients within the Neath Port Talbot area.

The HCSW Role involves the accurate recording of the patients vital signs, recognition of the acutely unwell patient whilst communicating precise information back to the Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Skills required for this Role ( training available) include Phlebotomy and Intravenous cannulation ,performing bladder scans, ECG recordings, use of Point of Care Machines and QC testing, meticulous collection of Microbiology specimens. Patient review calls, delivery/ collection of equipment to support patients receiving Intravenous/ Subcutaneous treatments.

Participating in daily Board rounds ,participating with Scheduling systems ensuring that case load calls are up to date and accurate

Travelling between sites in a timely fashion, organization of work load and ability to prioritize calls

Participating in daily Board rounds ,participating with Scheduling systems ensuring that case load calls are up to date and accurate

Ensuring stock levels of stores / equipment are maintained

Ensuring that all stock is accounted for and traceable

Maintaining knowledge / skills - participation with PADR
