**Senior Buyer - Birmingham**
Our client the leading Live event, Conference and Exhibition Organisation in the UK has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Birmingham based team. You will be providing pro-active procurement support to stakeholders in relation to the processfor sourcing of all non-food & beverage goods and services to ensure that the best value is achieved.
**Key responsibilities**:

- To manage the delivery of the procurement element of the sourcing process, including managing requests for information and procurement tenders and evaluating tender submissions.
- To review noncontract expenditure to identify opportunities for leveraging group expenditure by aggregating purchases and alternative purchase arrangements to reduce the overall cost of supply.
- To advise business users at all levels on the most appropriate purchasing strategy; to assist with supplier selection and supporting agreement of supplier service levels and contracting.
- To research and evaluate market trends maintaining an up to date database of potential suppliers for key commodities
To be successful in this role you will need experience with tender and contract systems, strong price negotiation skills, the ability to build relationships and an analytical approach.
