Workforce Wellbeing Officer X4

Bolton, United Kingdom North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Full time

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is looking to recruit four Workforce Wellbeing Officers to support an exciting and new Workforce Wellbeing Hub being established by the trust.

This role demands someone who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment given the operational pressures in the ambulance service. You will be an effective communicator, able to work positively with staff at all levels and be capable of managing your own workload. This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting our workforce, so if you are passionate about engaging with staff to support their health and wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you.

We are recruiting four posts in total covering the areas of 1. Cumbria & Lancashire, 2. Cheshire & Merseyside and 3. Greater Manchester. The role will involve regular travel across the area you are assigned to - visiting NWAS sites (e.g. ambulance stations, contact centres, corporate offices) and engaging with staff. Please note that working from home opportunities in this role will be limited, as postholders will be expected to be a visible presence at NWAS sites.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Please ensure you ready the attached Job Description and Person Specification to ensure you meet the criteria.
