Cruz Sports Coaching is excited to welcome a friendly and enthusiastic Assistant Head Basketball Coach to our team

We’re looking for a qualified and reliable individual to work at some of our community basketball development and team training sessions (preferably for our under-12 and 14 teams) in North London.

If you love working with children aged 8-16 years old and have a passion for basketball, this could be the perfect opportunity

**Requirements**:

- You must have a minimum NGB Level 2 Coaching Qualification in Basketball.
- Minimum one year experience coaching kids aged 8-16yrs in a club coaching environment (preferably)
- A friendly attitude, along with the energy, confidence, and patience to work with groups of up to 25-30 children in any sport or activity
- Experience preparing teams for competitions

Primary role:

- Plan and prepare team offence and defence strategies to use in in-game situations
- Develop training methods to help our team players prepare for competition in a local league environment
- Organizing skills development sessions for our community basketball clubs.
- Helping to plan and coordinate team play for competitions
- Managing the program in different areas i.e. contacting parents, announcing gamedays and other delegated tasks set by the Head Coach
- Cover the Head Coach if Necessary.
- Communicate with parents, line managers and participants at a high standard

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Someone who is reliable and has excellent time management skills.
- A self-motivated individual with a genuine passion for teaching and coaching.
- Experience working with children and young people is essential.
- Previous experience is desirable
- Attend Cruz workshops and events
- Complete Safeguarding and first aid at work training within your first three months at Cruz.

- Pay rate: £15-25 p/h £20-30 per game depending on qualification and experience

Tuesday: 6:30pm-8pm

Thursday 6:30pm-8pm

Sunday In-House League 9am-2pm

Waltham Cross:
Monday 7pm-9pm

Sunday In-House League 9am-2pm

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
