Local Network Coordinator

Job description
**Main purpose of the post**
We support vulnerable and disadvantaged people bereaved or seriously injured by road crashes to cope with the trauma they have experienced, improving their health and wellbeing. We work locally with road crash victims and families to build stronger communities through support groups, meetings, remembrance events and peer campaigning. This role will deliver a new and exciting project to help strengthen and develop our local group network.
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- To act as the first point of contact for local group coordinators and volunteers
- Support and coordinate all local group activities
- Co-produce and develop local campaigning and victims voice activities
- Support the development of new local groups
- Review and update local group governance structures and documentation
- Champion and advocate for RoadPeace and victim care in the regions.
**Volunteer management**
- Develop local group policy with victims including governance, training, safeguarding, marketing and publicity
- Manage the recruitment, selection, and provide induction, and training of local volunteers
- Develop and produce relevant resource packs for volunteers
- Maintain effective internal communications at all times, ensuring that information is shared with staff, Board of trustees volunteers and members
- Build Local Group Network Community, with regular network meetings
- Ensure that all legal, statutory and other provisions governing or affecting the running of local groups and volunteers are preserved
- Develop and implement an annual training program for local volunteers
**Publicity and Marketing**
- Working with Head of Communications develop and implement a local group publicity and marketing strategy and oversee implementation
- Support local groups with media work and PR activities
- Develop outreach activities, marketing and publicity materials with local groups to reach more victims
**Project-based activities**
- Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of the project in line with the funders requirements
- Support with publicity and outreach to promote awareness of RoadPeace services
- Ensure timely and accurate production of project monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Assist as required with other project related activities
**General**
- Additional tasks may be necessary to be undertaken to further the charity’s goals. This could include communication, marketing, fundraising or administration functions, depending on need, and generally but not necessarily exclusively, in relation to your main role
- Adhere to the organisation’s data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety policies, and all other RoadPeace policies
- To work occasional evenings and weekends
- Take part in regular supervision with line manager
