**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Working hours: 8am - 6:30pm (Mondays and Tuesdays (1 hour unpaid lunch break), 1pm - 8pm (Wednesdays) and 1pm - 6:30pm (Thursdays)

**Job Summary**

The Kingston GP Federation (Kingston GP Chambers) is seeking to recruit a Part-Time Receptionist on behalf of Canbury Medical Centre based in Surbiton. Canbury has a CQC rating of 'good', and benefits from positive patient feedback.

The role is offered working on the following days
- Mondays - 8am - 6:30pm
- Tuesdays - 8am - 6:30pm
- Wednesdays 1pm - 8pm
- Thursdays 1pm - 6:30pm

The role will involve:
Receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Providing general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors (in person or via telephone).

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide efficient and effective reception service to patients and visitors;
- Deal with general enquiries (procedures, assisting patients with the website and other);
- Book appointments via Website or EMIS;
- Register new patients;
- Direct, receive and make telephone calls as required;
- Process of documents and letters sent via post;
- Filing either electronically or paper notes;
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners and Practice Management Team.

**Person Specification/Experience**
- GP receptionist and EMIS experience ideal.
- Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel etc.
- Accuracy when typing.
- Good communication and effective social skills and dealing with customers/public.
- Good time-keeping, team player and respectful at all times.
- **A great Receptionist is always smiling, polite, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and caring.**_
