It is desirable to have experience of Operational Team Leader skills.
- It would be ideal to have Dually Authorised Person authorisation
- Ensure operations are conducted in line with the plant safety case and Nuclear Site Licence
- Ensure all safety rules and procedures are applied and improve safety standards
- Manage and supervise plant operators and operations. Including allocation of work
- Develop, maintain and improve performance via a performance centre methodology
- Lead daily reviews to ensure safety, quality and production targets are met, and to take appropriate action to close variances,
- Utilise methodology for problem solving such as 4C/PPS to resolve plant issues
- Support and deliver plant improvements to maximise output and drive plant efficiencies and cost savings
- Set, maintain and improve standards including the use of process confirmation, standard work observations, short interval follow-up,
- Continually develop the team, ensuring training and currency targets are met and the Performance Management Assessment process is followed
- Interface with other supervisors/departments
- Hands on approach to production within the building
- Provide support to the Business Units as required
- Full use of Human Performance tools/techniques and Corrective Action Plan tool
- Update plant documentation when required

- Enthusiastic and Flexible approach to work.
- Provide evidence of being self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Evidence of being a team player but also able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to work in a controlled manner and under pressure.
- Ability to use IT Systems effectively.
- Able to build good relationships with all stakeholders (customers etc.).
- Demonstrated background in the supervision of employees.
- Experience in meeting demanding targets and deadlines.
- Will be required to work in a controlled area (radiation and contamination) including Expanded Primaries.
- Successful completion of the Supervisors Training would be preferred.
