As one of our health care assistants you will be part of a dynamic team who works in collaboration with members of the multi-diciplinary team ensuring our patients are delivered excellent stroke specific care.

Our Stroke Unit is a 32 bedded ward. We admit patients from the emergency department or TIA clinic who have had an acute stroke or TIA and work closely as a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent stroke care is given, guided by the Royal College of Physicians National Stroke Guidelines 2016.

Your role will involve assisting patients with aspects of daily care,mobilisation,nutritional needs and work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care is given.

You will promote the use of evidence based practice to improve the outcomes of patient care within the acute stroke pathway and ensure all Trust Visions of care standards are adhered to.
