Across Swindon, Emerging Futures is responsible for the delivery of a day service programme including a range of behavioural change workshops, alongside other group and individual work with a focus on the 5 ways of wellbeing. You will be responsible for supporting individuals towards recovery, increased resilience, and wellbeing with the goal of living successful lives free of addiction.
The day service will provide a positive, affirming environment where individuals can work together to generate hope and aspiration, develop their motivation, and create opportunities to make profound, positive, and enduring changes in their lives.
You will also work closely with partner organisations, team leaders, clinicians, social enterprises, education and training providers to develop integrated, recovery infrastructures that engage, support and navigate individuals from addiction and vulnerability to established recovery in the community with sustainable alternatives to drug/alcohol misuse and crime.
- **What you will be doing**_
- Delivering the Foundations of Recovery programme across Swindon
- Supporting volunteers and coaches to co-deliver the service including delivering supervision and training.
- Working closely with family, carers, and significant others of those attending the programme including co-attended group sessions.
- Delivering structured and ad hoc psychosocial interventions in both 1-1 and group settings.
- Working with local communities, employers, and recovery communities to help the development and growth of local resources that support harm minimization, recovery, wellbeing, desistance, and employment.
- Working closely with Recovery Coordinators and other professionals to ensure risk is managed and outcomes maximized for the individual.
- Developing and maintain excellent working links/partnerships with community agencies and resources, including supported housing providers & treatment agencies.
- **Some of the skills, knowledge and experience you will have**_
- Experience of delivering psychotherapeutic groups to those contemplating change and sustained changes in drug and/or alcohol use, criminal behaviour, and social functioning.
- Excellent understanding of boundaries and risk management.
- Experience of effective, purposeful, and active partnership working.
- Excellent all-round communication skills and the ability to manage relationships.
- IT Literacy skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.
- Excellent skills in record keeping.
