**AWS Data Engineer** With the backing from a large multinational company, and certainly becoming a known name throughout the UK, we are thrilled to be working with a tech disruptor that's driving an industry transformation within the automotive world as they expand their Engineering,Product and UX Teams. They are seeking a Data Engineer, skilled in AWS, to join their agile and collaborative technical hub, playing a key part in their growth journey.

**The Opportunity** Playing a key role within the Decision Intelligence function, as a AWS Data Engineer you will be responsible for maximising value from data assets whilst ensuring all data is controlled and secured to the highest standard. The Data Engineer will be joininga team of Data Engineers and Data Warehouse Managers and work with the Data Architecture Team where necessary to ensure alignment on approach and standards in relation to the build and deployment on the Decision Intelligence Data Lake and Data Warehouse, utilisingSnowflake's cloud-based platform. You will be supporting our client's data vision of having a single source of truth for Decision Intelligence, through the production of new pipelines, organising data processes, including CI/CD, and building on top of existingautomated quality checks.
- Ownership of different elements of the Data Engineering Teams' workflows including data modelling, data pipeline, database design, automation and ELT related tasks.
- Design and maintenance of data pipelines, integrating from numerous internal and external sources into a data warehouse.
- Working alongside other Data Intelligence Teams such as Analytics and Insights, Business Intelligence and other key stakeholders - a great opportunity to broaden your current technical skills and work on innovative projects.
- Developing pipelines and systems to capture, store and provide access to business information in a meaningful way.
- Build and maintain standardised data ingress / egress procedures so internal Decision Intelligence teams can integrate analytics tools and external 3rd parties have flexible options to access cinch's data. Including but not limited to S-FTP, API, AWS S3bucket syncs.
- Identification of any data quality issues in the data warehouse to allow and drive the use of accurate information at all times by all business functions across the business.
- Developing and implementing processing safeguards to reduce the risk of data breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information. Working with the I.T. security team where necessary to develop and maintain appropriate security controlsfor the data environment and accommodating penetration testing.

Due to the business-critical nature of the data warehouse, our client currently operate an out of hours support rota. The Data Engineer would be expected to participate in this and be compensated according to their policies.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Cloud-platform experience, preferably AWS.
- Experienced using SQL
- Python or similar programming language

**Bonus Skils and Experience**:

- Snowflake
- IaC
- Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations

**What's in it for you?**:

- £60,000 - £80,000 salary (DOE)
- Plus 15% annual bonus
