**Job Description**:
Our Director of UK Operations and General Manager Risk and Compliance are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager to join their high performing team within our large Distribution Centre (DC) in Dagenham (RM9 6FF)

As our Distribution Centre Transport Manager your primary responsibility will be to monitor and manage all areas of Transport compliance for your DC. You will work with the Depot Operational Teams and the Regional Transport Manager (RTM) to your site functions legally, safely and efficiently.

Areas of Responsibility
- To monitor levels of Transport compliance continually to ensure the DC is operating in line with current legislation and DPD Company policy and escalate any areas of concern.
- To highlight and rectify any issues found with regards to Transport compliance and record written details of all issues found.
- To escalate any major issues found if resolution cannot be reached at DC level..
- To work collaboratively with the Regional Transport Manager to train staff to ensure they have sufficient knowledge to monitor and ensure compliance levels within the DC.
- To support induction and refresher training courses on Transport related topics
- To support the Regional Transport Manager in dealing with aspects of repair agent compliance failures within the DC.
- To support any DC project work as and when required.

Qualifications**
What we’re looking for;**

To be considered for this role you must hold your International CPC Qualification and have proven and demonstrable experience as a Transport Manager within a fast paced organisation. We will also expect you to be;
- Analytical, data focused, highly organised and have exceptional attention to detail
- A confident communicator and able to influence at all levels through both verbal and written communications.
- Decisive and effective decision-making, in a time pressured environment
- Someone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
- High standard of computer literacy with a thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate the core values of DPD DNA - Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability
