Prospect Health are proud to be working with one of the leading Veterinary practices in the Wigan area who due to expansion are looking for an additional small animal vet to join their friendly and welcoming team. Situated in Wigan with good transport links to Manchester, Liverpool and Cheshire and the lovely Lancashire countryside, the location is perfect for those looking for a good balance between city and rural.

The current team consists of 5 vets, with a good range of experience from new graduates up to advanced practitioners. There is also a fully qualified team of RVNs and SVNs, not to mention the dedicated reception staff who make all contribute to making it a genuinely enjoyable place to work. It will feel as though you're working for an independent practice with that has been established in the community for decades, yet you will have the knowledge and support of one of the largest and longest standing institutions in the veterinary world.

The practice itself has everything you'll need to provide the highest level of care to your patients, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgical and dentistry facilities, in-house lab, K-laser and much more. You'll have the opportunity to utilise these tools and the experience and knowledge of your colleagues to support you through further CPD and even certificate study in your chosen area of interest. **Key Duties**
- 4-day week
- 1-in-4 Saturdays only
- No OOH

**Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements**
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
- You will have 1 year post graduate small animal experience
- Good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour
- Comfortable with most routine surgical procedures and consulting
- Enjoys working as part of a team that are passionate about providing a gold standard of care
