As part of the Rangeford Villages group, Wadswick Green Retirement Village, is a beautiful, vibrant, developing retirement village near Corsham, with a restaurant, gym, pool and spa.

We are currently recruiting housekeepers/cleaning staff to help cover sickness absence and holidays on a bank contract basis

Usual working hours are 5 hours per day Monday to Friday, typically between the hours of 9am and 5pm. There maybe occasional weekends. We are happy to discuss availability and working arrangements with you and can be flexible to fit in other commitments.

As a member of the team, you’ll be the key to making sure our guest rooms, public/social areas and resident apartments remain highly presentable at all times.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To maintain cleanliness and general tidiness of bathrooms, offices and communal areas including carpet cleaning as designated by line manager
- When working in residents homes, to respect their opinions, privacy and dignity of the person at all times
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly and that it is stored in a safe and clean condition
- Report any faulty equipment, defects or hazards in the Village to the line manager
- Report any damage caused to furnishings, fittings, resident property or the structure of the building during the course of their duty to the line manager
- Assist with the induction of new staff, in accordance with the induction policy
- Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Understand and adhere to Control of Substances hazardous to Health regulations in accordance with the H&S manual including keeping adequate supply of cleaning materials and ensuring they are used and stored safely
- Attend and participate in regular one to one meetings and appraisals

**Working conditions**

This position will involve working mainly weekdays and occasional weekends to cover holidays and absence.
