Chubb Systems now has an opportunity for a **Commercial Manager** in Blackburn. The main goal of this role is will supplement the existing members of the Quantity Surveying and Commercial team and will work across all of the businesses projectsto ensure that the Senior Leadership have correct, coordinated, complete and concise commercial information to support its decision making. **Responsibilities**: Due to the varied nature and size of our projects, our Commercial Managers work either with full responsibility for the projects allocated to them, or where our projects demand, due to size, complexity and/ or risk, work under the direction of the projectssenior leadership of a Commercial and Contracts Director. Post Contract Administration: - Maintain Contract Documentation and advise the project team, with specialist assistance, on post contract matters, - In conjunction with the project team(s), prepare and issue of contractual letters to customers, subcontractors and suppliers, - Post contract liaison with Customers and their consultant Project Management and Commercial team(s), - Post contract liaison with Subcontractors, Consultants and suppliers, - Preparation and Submission of Interim Valuation(s) and Application(s) for Payment, including negotiation with the Customer and their Consultant(s). Project Accounting & Reporting: - Preparation and monitoring of monthly CVR, including project Risk and Opportunity register. - Preparation and monitoring of project cash flow forecasting including cash recovery - Monitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variances. - Preparation of Internal commercial project reports - Preparation of External commercial project reports Compliance: - Implement Project Commercial Procedures obtaining cross functional support and acceptance. - Undertake regular audits of the Commercial Procedures bad Corporate Governance to evidence compliance to Commercial & Contracts Director. - Comply with Chubb Systems ethics, quality and EHS requirements. - Actively promote Health and Safety **Qualifications** **Qualifications/ Experience**: - >5 Years’ experience in a similar role, managing the commercial outcome of projects of similar nature - Of graduate caliber; - with a_ BSc (Hons) In Quantity Surveying and/ or BSc (Hons) Commercial Management. - Working towards or has membership of relevant professional body, such as the RICS. **Knowledge and Skills**: - Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building, Civil Engineering and Building Services industry, including experience of the JCT standard suite of Contracts and the NEC 2 and 3 suites of contracts is essential. - Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement, including SMM7 and NRM 1&2. - Full Driving License essential. - Exceptional IT Skills - particularly using MS Excel, MS Word. **Additional Information** - Excellent Salary - Company vehicle cash allowance - 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, plus option to purchase additional days - Company pension scheme - Employee scholarship scheme - Benefits Central Platform hosting employee reward and recognition initiatives and health and wellbeing resources - Bravo Awards which recognise outstanding contributions from all employees and encourage excellence **More about us**: Chubb Systems provides sophisticated communication, security and surveillance systems for a number of Europe’s leading organisations and specialises in large infrastructure projects.
