**Description**
- Support and advise the Managing Director with the creation of a programme of Organisational Development and HR strategies in accordance with new People Strategy, and refreshed vision, values, and desired family culture.
- Creation and implementation of the People Strategy, supporting all managers with business wide and specific departmental training initiatives in line with engagement results and business priorities
- Support a people centric leadership approach, enabling leadership and management to adapt approaches in leading and embedding change and creating a positive culture aligned to our values
- Take into account business needs and work collaboratively with stakeholders to determine bespoke learning solutions, making recommendations and create solutions that help ensure the near and long term people development objectives.
- Regularly evaluate internal practices and offerings, conduct external benchmarking exercises, finding cost efficiencies and continuously improve the solutions for the business
- Research in relation to HR and Employment Law case studies, including upcoming best practice and benchmarking with other organisations to add value to our internal HR services.
- Provide leadership to the team, coaching them on approaches, agreeing priorities & associated resources, and developing skills and capability that will ensure delivery of agreed outcomes as well as professional development
- Work in partnership with the Executive Team to develop and communicate a joined up people plan aligned to business change that brings together outcomes, ensuring transparency, cohesion and action
- Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders to be able to advise, coach and support in the development and engagement of their people, provide expert advice on relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, to support the business aims and objectives
- Create, develop, and produce reports in order to provide statistics to the Executive Team on monthly KPI's, analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement, then put in place / recommend solutions to improve future performance and reduce riskto the business.
- Manage the update of existing policies and implementation of new HR policies and procedures, which adhere to and promote and legislative agenda
- Manage the development and implementation of OD policy across all areas of the organisation including improving performance, developing talent and providing effective management of change
- Monitor and control relevant budgets to meet departmental constraints and value for money.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and capability within the business, with a focus on developing manager capability and behaviours to meet the needs of our agile business model.
- Deliver bespoke initiatives such as PDP reviews, training and development to ensure that the most appropriate solutions are delivered, meeting current and future business needs.
- Design and deliver training needs analysis across all levels of Management and report findings with recommendations to key stakeholders
- Support the evolution of the Management Leadership and Talent framework, ensuring that employees have the appropriate levels of skills, knowledge and behaviours to fulfil individual, team and business development goals and objectives.
- Create and embed a coaching culture where developmental 1:1 conversations and supportive feedback become the norm.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers who conduct formal processes during investigations or hearing disciplinary and appeals, where required, to ensure an impartial, prompt and confidential approach is taken and fair outcomes are delivered, inline with employment legislation, best practice, and HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure we adopt a pro-active and positive approach to communications and marketing both externally and within the business which supports the reputation of our cultural journey and employee engagement.
**Profile**
A relevant professional qualification in HR, learning, organisational psychology/behaviour or Chartered MCIPD or:
- Experience of designing, delivering and implementing complex learning and organisational development strategies, with a proven track record of results.
- Experience of consulting or collaborating with business leaders to design and recommend effective learning and development solutions.
- Working with and influencing senior leaders and colleagues at all levels.
- Experience of supporting agile, remote teams preferred.
- Experience of evaluating learning and development interventions.
- Ability to develop and deliver learning and development using a wide range of media and methods, including e-learning, virtual delivery and online video guidance.
- In-depth and up to date knowledge and experience within HR, OD and change.
- Experience of supporting talent and succession reviews and action plans.
**Job Offer**
- Either based in Glasgow or Ayrshire
- Occasional travel required to construction sites (they want the HR Manager to be visible, engage with all staf)
