**Part time Patient Services team member (Medical receptionist/call handler) (Monday to Friday - to cover hours between 7am - 6.30pm on a rota basis).**

Are you a positive, friendly and professional communicator, both in person and over the phone? If so, you might just be the right person for this role.

We currently have an opportunity to work in our busy patient services teams, where you will be the first point of contact for patients attending the practice and on the phone. We are looking for an excellent communicator, with good IT and communication skills, to join our busy team.

The Hollies is a friendly, high achieving practice based on the edge of Tamworth town centre and provides care to 16000 patients.

You will carry out the duties in the job description, which includes:
**Greeting patients in a friendly manner and responding to their requests**

**Arranging appointments for patients and signposting to relevant services.**

**Answering and dealing with telephone or face to face enquiries**

**Liaising with Doctors, Nurses and other members of the team to provide a quality service for patients**

We require you:
**To be computer literate.**

**To have the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with staff and patients.**

**To work with confidential and sensitive information.**

**To ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained in all aspects of work.**

**To be confident to work independently and as part of a team.**

**The ability to handle pressure.**

- Flexibility to cover different shift patterns, depending on practice requirements, is essential. (7am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Occasional lates until 8pm and Saturday mornings may also be required, although this is optional and treated as overtime )._

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
