As a senior member of the Clinical Leadership team, you will drive continuous clinical improvement using data-driven insights. Improving patient care, safety, and operational performance through effective use of technology. Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of key clinical systems, including electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) digital guidelines (JRCALC+). Leading the implementation of the Ambulance Data Set (ADS) within the ePCR system. Analysing this data, will help ensure patients receive timely and appropriate interventions, including care via newly identified pathways. As the designated Clinical Safety Officer for the ePCR, you will oversee the safety of clinical systems, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Working collaboratively across directorates as a representative for clinical colleagues, ensuring technology is used effectively and efficiently. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact not only on patient care but also on staff experience and morale, influencing hospital handover times and facilitating better care pathways. A key aspect of this role will involve leading the implementation of the Ambulance Data Set (ADS) within the ePCR system. This initiative will enable clinicians to access outcome data that enhances understanding of ambulance service activity and value, supports clinician development, and informs organisational planning. By analysing this data, you will help ensure patients receive timely and appropriate interventions, including care via newly identified pathways. As the designated Clinical Safety Officer for the ePCR, you will oversee the safety of clinical systems, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will work collaboratively across directorates and act as a representative for your clinical colleagues, ensuring technology is used effectively and efficiently. We employ 3,500 staff in 63 locations and serve a population of 2,600,000 in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, and Tees over 3230 square miles. Many people think the job of the ambulance service is to collect patients and take them to hospital, but we do much more Paramedic skills have developed hugely in recent years, meaning we carry out more treatment at the scene and en-route to hospital. We have a dedicated clinical assessment service that allows us to provide patients with the most appropriate care from the beginning of the patient journey. We have a specialised branch of the Trust called HART which deal with explosions or terrorist attacks.
