Housing Services Assistant

**Key Responsibilities**:
The post is part of our Housing Services department, who have responsibility for providing a high quality and comprehensive housing management service to tenants and sharing owners in accordance with the Association's policies, good practice and relevant legislation. This post works 21 hours per week and we would like to hear from people who are available to work Wednesday to Friday, however if you are available to work other days and times during Monday - Friday we would be interested to hear from you as we are open to flexible working. During busy periods the postholder is expected to be available to cover days when job share partner is absent.
This will include;
- Providing first point of contact customer service and administrative support across all tenures and subsidiaries for all housing services functions, including Trust and Castlehill Solutions.
- Liaise with other departments, tenants, and other agencies including local authorities and partner organisations with regards to TV Licences, Council Tax, HB, UC and Shared Ownership.
- Provide comprehensive cover for the Housing Services Support Team Leader as and when required
- Processing cash, cheque, card, direct debits, HB and UC payments.
**About you**:
This post is fast paced and requires you to prioritise often competing tasks and urgent deadlines. Applicants are expected to demonstrate previous experience in a similar environment and evidence ability to prioritise a busy workload. You will have previous experience of administration duties and be educated to National Level 5 or equivalent with relevant qualifications in Maths and English. You will have previous experience of providing customer services using variety of communication methods and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.

**What we can offer you**:
- Contract: Permanent part time, hours worked Monday - Wednesday.
- Hours of work: 21 per week, 7 per day. A flexitime system and hybrid working is in place for eligible posts.
- Salary: Starting salary is £16,084.80 (pro rata). This salary is a Grade 4 (£26,808 - £29,788)
- Annual Leave: Pro rate leave entitlement of 37 days, including 9 fixed public holiday
- Training and Development opportunities.
- Pension: A defined contribution pension scheme option with a standard contribution rate of 5% employee and 10% employer contribution.
- Probation Period: A six month probation period applies to all new employees.
