**Kick-off or re-boot your career as a Smart Meter Engineer**
Every day, thousands of our engineers and technicians are trusted to go into people’s homes and places of work. They help our customers with critical needs and problems, such as fixing a broken boiler in the middle of winter.
Smart metering is the digital version of measuring gas and electricity usage. A process of sending data from an energy meter in real time to an electronic display for a customer to see. They are essential as they help customers view in £’s precisely what they use to help budget and conserve energy.
Over a 54-week programme, our apprentices are trained to replace and maintain meters. Taking out the old meters and installing a new Smart meter for Gas and Electric. Our ambition is to further develop our engineers by cross-skilling and training into other trades such as Gas Boiler Repairs or Electric Vehicle Installation.
All we need from you is a full UK driving licence, 4 GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent and a genuine passion for learning a trade and striving for a successful career. You can make a difference to millions of people through handy work and hard work
