Each of the homes are run by fully trained and experienced managers who are supported by a highly trained and dedicated team of caring, compassionate colleagues who work tirelessly to provide the highest level of care to our residents.

**Key Duties**:

- general buildings, grounds maintenance, and repairs
- painting and decorating
- carry out minor plumbing works
- day to day maintenance of internal fixtures and fittings
- complete regular statutory testing, e.g. weekly fire alarm, emergency lighting tests, fire door checks, legionella tests, wireless call bell checks, experience preferred but training can be given
- any other reasonable tasks relating to maintenance of property & grounds
- weeding/ hedge trimming/ water of plants
- furniture removals
- equipment checks
- delivering samples to and from local GP surgeries as required

**Required Skills, Experience and qualifications**:

- Previous experience in general maintenance role, or similar essential
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in building or trade qualification preferred but not essential
- Proficient standard in basic carpentry, painting & decorating and general building repairs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative and without close supervision

**Hours**: 16 hours per week

**Shift Pattern**: 2 days per week (8 hours shifts) between Monday to Friday
