Band 5 Dietitian
If you are a student dietitian due to graduate by the end of March, or a Band 5 looking for the next step, this may be the opportunity for you. The post is fixed term for 14 months, but there are likely to be many job opportunities within the team beyond that time. You will join a friendly team of six dietitians with good dietetic assistant and admin support. The whole department consists of over forty dietitians and dietetic assistants, and there are plenty of opportunities to collaborate with and learn from other teams. In addition, we have excellent working relationships with the other two department across North Wales, and there will be opportunities to work with your colleagues in other areas. All our Dietitians have annual appraisals to identify development needs, with all requests for study leave considered and dedicated CPD time every month. Many of our Dietitians are involved in research with published work. We have an active development programme, considering support for Msc level study. We welcome new ideas and creative thinking and are always keen to hear from our team. You would be encouraged and supported in considering improved and more effective ways of working. We pride ourselves on the importance we give to staff wellbeing and enjoying working as a team. Applications for part time working will be considered.
Your job plan is likely to include community hospitals, care homes, clinics and some group education. The pandemic has changed our ways of working, so currently a lot of work is virtual via phone and Teams, but this will be subsequent to change as the pandemic evolves. You will have access to support from a dietetic assistant, who will be able to help with booking appointments, reviews and resource management. The health board is a Nutricia contract, and you will be responsible for managing your home enterally fed patients who receive their feed and equipment via Nutricia Homeward.
If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients.
