**Lorien Global are working with a large organisation based in Telford with a view to recruit a Data Analyst on a permanent basis to join their Products and Propositions team**.

This role will suit a graduate who has attained a degree in either Maths, Data Science, Economics, or Finance who is looking to build a career within a data-based role.

**Duties include**:

- Stay up to date with legislative requirements that may impact the ongoing management of products.
- Identify and resolve product governance related issues / customer breaches within agreed timelines.
- Produce reporting/papers as needed to support effective decision making at relevant committees.
- Use analysis skills and regulatory knowledge to propose appropriate rationalisations to product features at point of migration and during ongoing management.
- Identify and manage risks ensuring all tasks are completed within own teams governance framework.
- Manage work effectively and ensure it progresses during planned absence. Complete any required reporting on time and accurately. Follow office guidelines and policies.
- Ensure any data is handled as part of a migration or ongoing product management is stored in line with regulatory and conduct requirements, and in particular protecting customer data
- Addressing skills and knowledge gaps to provide effective support to the business
- Ensuring that BAU work and change projects have an appreciation for each other's work and don't create conflicts in approach being taken.
- Ability to analyse and understand different stakeholder groups views (customer, stakeholder, employer, adviser, etc) and make judgement calls when potential conflicts arise.
- Evaluating complex and detailed technical information to present in a clear and understandable way for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

**Person Specification**:

- A graduate or hold a degree in either Maths, Data Science, Finance or Economics
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel
- Have experience of using SQL or a similar coding language such as Python, C++, VBA etc.
- Analytically minded and looking to learn
- High attention to detail
