**Location**: Meadowhill Care Home, Castleford Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 4AL

**Salary**: £11.75 per hour, plus a 50p per hour weekend enhancement

**Hours**: 40 hours per week, 8am to 6:30pm, shifts will be across Monday to Sunday

**About the role**:

- Assist with the preparation of meals and the cleaning of serveries, kitchens and staff areas on a daily basis
- Assist in washing crockery, cutlery, cooking and serving utensils and kitchen equipment
- Distribute and collect crockery from the residents
- Relay and clear tea trolleys where applicable
- Accept and process kitchen deliveries, ensuring correct storage and inventory rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Chef

**About you**:

- The right to live and work in the UK
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is essential to be considered
- An understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control and COSHH
- A caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
