We have an opportunity in the Nutrition and Dietetic Service for an enthusiastic support worker who is keen to develop their skills in children and young people’s nutrition care.

You will be based with the Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetic Team in Morriston Hospital and Neath Port Talbot Hospital. This is a permanent, part-time (working 18.75 hours per week) post.

As a Dietetic Support Worker you will work as part of the paediatric dietetic team assisting with the delivery of individual dietetic care plans and group education sessions. You will support the monitoring and assessment of patients in hospital, outpatient clinics and in their own homes. Your role will also be supporting the delivery of virtual and face to face education programmes including cow’s milk protein allergy groups and nutritional training for professionals. Experience of caring for patients and knowledge of nutrition are essential.

We offer departmental CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of teaching and presentation skills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant networking meetings and clinical focus groups.
