Nottingham Autism Support Service are a specialist agency who supply Support Workers to residential settings for adults displaying challenging behaviours, learning difficulties, emotional behavioural disorders, and autism.

We are looking for highly motivated Support Workers who have experience with challenging behaviours, learning disabilities, mental health and emotional behavioural needs to join an already strong and skilled team to enable the on-going person-centred support on a zero-hour contract to cover for staff absence.

**Your role as a Adults Residential Support Worker will involve**:

- Supporting adults with disabilities in full time residential setting.
- To be involved in the teaching of self-care skills to encourage the emotional, personal, and social development of the residents.
- Organising and accompanying the residents on social, educational activities and appointments.
- Building relationships with residents, staff, and family members.
- Helping residents to develop interests and hobbies and flourish in doing what they enjoy.
- To help create night time programmes and to follow these to support residents to improve their night time routines.
- To monitor and respond to the needs of the residents.
- Ensure residents wishes and preferences are at the heart of care delivery to enhance their well-being.
- Supporting with daily living skills.
- Record keeping and documenting daily activities.
- General home housekeeping to support the residents.
- Ensure Care Support Plans and other information about how to support residents are followed.
- Communicate any problems, concerns, or changes.

**Shift patterns include**:

- 06:45-14:45
- 14:45-22:00
- 22:00-07:00 (waking nights)

**Requirements**:

- Have a good understanding of the role of CQC and their requirements.
- Hold an up-to-date care certificate.
- Trained in medication management.
- Having an enhanced DBS on the update service would be preferable but not essential.
- Being over 18 years old.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Autism: 2 years (required)

- Care Certificate (required)
