**The Apprentice Gas Plumber role**:
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a **Apprentice Gas Plumber** to join Berneslai Homes where throughout four years of hard work, learning and development you’ll gain a great qualification.

**Key duties and responsibilities of our Apprentice Gas Plumber**:

- The ability to carry out all aspects of gas and plumbing work on maintenance, repairs refurbishment and capital programme projects to Council properties.
- The safe driving and loading of vehicles.
- To understand, install service and maintain central heating systems, solid fuel boilers, sink units, water closets, baths, showers and wash basins, which may involve heavy lifting.
- To renew, maintain and repair external gutters, fall pipes and soil stacks including installation and maintenance of gas appliance chimneys using ladders and scaffold where necessary.
- To renew and repair external water services and stop cocks etc.

**What we’re looking for in our Apprentice Gas Plumber**:

- Must possess or be working towards a minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent preferably in Mathematics, English Language and a Science.
- Successful completion of an aptitude test, if applicable
- To be self-motivated and take personal responsibility for the role
- Ability to work to proper instruction from a recognised Craftsperson
