We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Casting Operative within our growing Casting Team.

**In a nutshell you will be responsible for**:
Your role is to start the process of making a luxury Sink following the Shaws of Darwen S.O.P’s. Taking pride in your work you will use a clay mixture to pour into a mould ready to be dried and then de-moulded. These beautiful pieces are then sent to the finishing department.
- Raise 1 near miss per month.
- Notify team leader of 1 recurring issue that you face in your area that needs a quality alert raised.
- Supporting the team leader to achieve the plan vs actual targets in your department.
- Demonstrate to your team leader improved performance on an agreed metric.
- Raise 2 high 5s in the year on fellow employees that you see go above a beyond to help and support the site.

**What you are already great at**:

- Daily powdering of case and drum.
- Take care and pride in the de-moulding process.
- To help control RCS dust in your area with good housekeeping.
- Push down clay to be in specification to help the moulding process.
- Adhering to health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines always.
- Ensuring correct PPE is always worn.
- Always follow SOP standards as trained.
- Striving to do your best to achieve targets set for your area.
- Ensuring that housekeeping standards are always met through regular cleaning of the area.
- Communicating any material defects, unsafe practices, or equipment to the Departmental team Leader.
- Understanding the process, they are responsible for, and the impact of its failures.
- Being willing to undertake training to develop in role and improve performance across other departments.

**For this role we would need you to demonstrate**:

- Previous experience in a similar role and happiest in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in delivering data driven solutions
- Excellent at multi-tasking and working with competing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication
- Knowledge of Windows based systems and MS Office Suite
- Be a confident and credible operator
