Gi Group are looking for a site manager to coordinate business operations, ensuring timely production and distribution of packaged gases, to both internal and external customers.
The Site manager is accountable for the end-to-end supply chain, site/plant maintenance, local stock and transport operations and ensures other legal responsibilities**As a site manager your duties will be**:

- Thoughtful communication with customers building strong customer relationships
- Oversee and mentor the Production & distribution supervisors to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
- Ensure the relevant training and qualification is implemented and upto date
- Developing trust and confidence within the team
- Develop on site synergies
- Accountability for production planning, distribution scheduling, cylinder stock management.
- Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
- Plan workflow and schedules for production departments.
- Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
- Lead weekly/monthly team meetings.
- Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, coordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues
- Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
- Assist in new product development and enhancements.
- Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.
- Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.
- Resolve production planning issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
- Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
- Maintain effective processes, operational procedures and performance indicators to meet customer and business requirements and drive desired behaviour.
- Leadership experience with experience in distribution planning & production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others, has exceptional interpersonal-communication skills.
- IT skills - ability to use PCs and associated software.
- Working knowledge of business systems including AS400, and Google Apps is preferable
