Facilities Coordinator

We are recruiting a Facilities / H&S Co-ordinator to ensure the efficient and effective management of all preventative and reactive Maintenance across our estate, whilst ensuring compliance with H&S legislation in line with sector best practice.

Reporting to our COO/Head of Nurseries, you will be joining a Central team focused on providing the very best support services for all colleagues across the group with a real opportunity to help shape our Property/Maintenance plans for the future as we grow.

Main Responsibilities: 
- Co-ordinate all preventative and reactive maintenance across the CC Nurseries Estate with oversight of internal and service contract providers.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance in conjunction with HR Lead and Nursery Managers, liaising with external advisors/specialist support to remedy where necessary.
- Maintain all FM/H&S documentation and records in conjunction with the Management of UpKeep system in accordance with company, statutory and audit requirements
- Termly visits to all locations to view/inspect scheduled works
- Support COO and Group Finance Manager with procurement of relevant suppliers/service contracts.
- Prepare report on key issues and action plans to monthly Directors review.

What we are looking for in the successful applicant:

- Previous experience working within a similar FM/H&S role with responsibility for multi-site facilities,
- Hold IOSH/NEBOSH/MIWFM (or similar) qualification or training.
- A professional and commercial approach to FM/H&S with budgetary awareness in supervising contractors/suppliers and of working with teams repairing and maintaining buildings.
- Strong understanding of legal/regulatory requirements relating to premises Health and Safety support services, including Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella, Asbestos, Control of Contractors and workplace assessments.
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of FM Systems and asset data bases.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the management teams, both at a site level and of the senior management team
- Ability to represent the Estates/Maintenance function as part of the bigger business picture
