Self Emplyed Handyman

Best of Suffolk, a leading Suffolk Holiday Rental Agent with 300+ properties is looking to recruit a self-employeed enthusiastic and hardworking General Maintenance and Handyman Operative, working across a range of properties and sites around Suffolk covering the full breadth of minor scheduled and reactive maintenance requirements.

Duties include:

- Independently carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks
- Attending property call outs to identify and resolve issues
- General plumbing work
- General carpentry work
- Painting & decorating
- Appliance installations
- Portable Appliance Testing & Fire Risk Assessment
- Basic electrical work

We are looking for:

- Problem solver working on own initiative
- A proactive approach
- Managing work schedule and maintenance log, including paperwork
- Availability to work flexible hours is essential
- Good communication skills (written & verbal)

You must be able to work independently, while liaising with a small, established team. The role requires elements of lone working, physical lifting, inside and outside working and manual labour.

Whilst no formal trade qualifications are required, a background in a building services, or other mechanical maintenance role is required as well as competence in the use of basic tools.

A flexible attitude to working hours is vital, as weekend work may be necessary, to meet the requirements of the business.

This is a self-employed role where you would invoice for jobs completed.

**Salary**: £8.91-£19.43 per hour
