We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our small but growing team. The role is primarily supporting a busy Company Director who runs three small businesses in Bedford.
The Businesses are; a thriving homeware and gift shop in the center of Bedford, a brand-new café that has evolved from a pop-up to a fully-fledged cafe, and a well-established picture-framing business.
We are looking for a reliable Office Administrator who can undertake administrative tasks and help with the smooth running of the businesses. They will be an integral part of the team and will help to drive sustainable growth.
**Job brief**
- The tasks of the office administrator will include helping to keep invoices and bills up to date, speaking to customers, and helping to manage the diary of the company director.
**Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinate and manage invoices/bills from suppliers, ensuring timely payment.
- Reconcile invoices from customers to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Track stocks of supplies and inventory, placing orders when necessary.
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary with administrative duties.
- Be proactive in spotting issues and raising them to the Company Director.
- General administration to support the smooth running of the businesses.
**Requirements and skills**
- Relevant experience as an office administrator, office assistant or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and office management software.
- Knowledge of Xero, Zettle, Paypal would be an advantage but not strictly necessary.
**Pay and working hours**
16 hours per week. Working times and days are flexible but ideally between the hours of 8am to 5pm across Monday to Friday.
All staff are entitled to time off and holidays (dependent on tenure). Perks include 25% off all products, 2 free hot drinks per day from the café., team outings and more.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
