**Job Purpose**
Working with and under the guidance of the Certifying Engineer and Lead Mechanic on the zone/aircraft as allocated. Supporting them with all aspects of Aircraft Maintenance performed by the Company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain the highest airworthiness, quality, safety and performance standards and ensure all company and legal requirements appertaining to aircraft maintenance and inspection are complied with
- Being able to perform all maintenance tasks including but not limited to;
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools
- Replace and replenish aircraft fluids, including fuel, oils and lubricants
- Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces
- Remove or install aircraft components
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals
- Communicate with other workers to coordinate fitting and alignment of heavy parts, or to facilitate processing of repair parts
- Any other duties as reasonable requested by lead mechanics / licenced aircraft engineer
- Ensure correct use and accuracy of the MRO system is maintained with regards to all maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Ad hoc project work as required within the scope of the role
- Admin Duties: Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance
Requisition / order consumables, parts, materials, and equipment used

Maintain an up-to-date aircraft maintenance logbook to demonstrate level of experience and competence gained through the completion of a variety of tasks
- Maintain compliance with: COSHH regulations
Health and safety guidelines per product SDS (safety data sheets)/ CAM risk assessments
Part 145 requirements - signing aircraft paperwork for all tasks performed including; time and date tasks performed, materials used (quantity & part number)
Company MOE requirements, Company procedures and information bulletins
Regulatory requirements and any associated changes in relation to EASA Part 145, Part M and Part 66.
Hold and maintain a valid Company Aircraft Mechanic authorisation
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Qualification & Education:
- A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar
**Experience**:
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to Part 145
- Proven work history in a P145 base maintenance/ aviation environment
- Understanding of Health & Safety, Human Factors and Compliance requirements
Training & Knowledge:
- Demonstrate technical experience as well as leadership behaviours, be able to work on your own initiative and make timely decisions
- Have the ability to interpret technical publications and make fact-based decisions
- Flexible approach and deliver to tight deadlines
- Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning
- High standard of English language (written and oral)
- High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
- Forklift licence would be desirable
- Tug driving experience would be desirable
**Salary**: £31,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
