My client, based in Berkshire, are one of the world leaders in their high technology industry.
They currently require a Senior Digital Electronic Design Engineer - PCI / DDR to join their rapidly expanding R&D department.
It's very important that you have full product lifecycle development experience. In this role you will be part of a small team, taking products from concept to prototyping / manufacture.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Digital Electronic Design Engineer - PCI / DDR will include:

- Design digital electronic circuits using a combination of Application Specific and Programmable Logic devices interconnected by High Speed Differential links at speeds up to 12Gbps.
- Design PCBs to meet the Signal Integrity requirements of High Speed Differential links working with our sub-contract PCB & S.I. Specialists.
- Participate in the architectural designs for electronics and electro-mechanical products, including hardware/software partitioning.
- Undertake design feasibility studies and investigations, identifying and evaluating new technologies.
- Manage prototype manufacture, manufacturing test, approvals testing, etc in conjunction with our sub-contract manufacturers and test houses.
Skills and Competencies for the Senior Digital Electronic Design Engineer - PCI / DDR will include:

- Designing digital electronic circuits using a combination of Application Specific and Programmable Logic devices and the following devices: PCIe switches, DDR RAM, flash, SRAM, I2C devices, batteries, high speed interconnects.
- Signal Integrity design for High Speed Differential links.
- Designing high speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/4, SAS, FC, iSCSI, Ethernet etc.
