**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week ( 28hrs part time hours)

**What does a Support Worker do?**

The role of a support worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. Supporting someone with learning disability isn’t just personal care, you could be taking people shopping, cinema, bowling, spending days on trips out and many more activities.

**Where would I work?**

Blagden House is one of Choice Care Group’s supporting living services. Situated in Greenham, about two miles south of Newbury, the service provides support for 5 people with a mix of needs including Autism, mental health conditions and learning disabilities. The accommodation is made up of five self-contained flats with their own lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Additionally, there is a large communal lounge for recreation and social activities. The service can provide a mix of 1:1 support and shared/ background hours. Easy access to Newbury town centre with Supermarket and retail-park close by.

**What experience do I need?**

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience working with people with learning disabilities or other disadvantaged groups. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. We will train and mentor you to become a highly skilled professional.
